Charlotte Tilbury Flawless Filter powder

Has anyone tried this and is it worth the £38 price tag??

I have very oily skin and have seen this recommended by a beauty YouTuber I follow as being amazing. But how amazing can a powder be for £38?!?

I was thinking of taking advantage of the money off at Space NK so it's not quite as painful, but is it really going to give me the skin of a teenager, stop oil and magic away my pores??

I use a NO7 compact powder at the moment which is fine when combined with a good primer and foundation, but this powder is very tempting.

Any experiences or recommendations for something else? I don't mind spending a bit more if it's an amazing product (and I'm a sucker for beautiful packaging)

I just ordered this so would like to hear thoughts on it too.

I have the airbrush flawless finish powder by Charlotte Tilbury. Is that the same thing? It's quite good but I haven't noticed it being miraculous. Mind you, I've gone a bit mad lately buying makeup, so overall I've really upped my game. I do think I look a lot better but it's hard to know which product to attribute it to!

It's okay... not as good as I thought tbh.
Very drying under the eyes

I think it is the finishing powder yes.

I ended up going for Laura Mercier loose powder which is nice but I don't think I really see a difference between that and the No7 Compact powder I had been using, although like you @KittyKittytheHare I have also upped my makeup game so whilst I'm less oily I'm not sure if it's because of the new foundation, new powder or new primer!

I did buy a set of 4 mini Charlotte Tilbury lipsticks because they were shades I'd wanted to try and whilst the colours are nice they didn't have any staying powder. I've seen people rave about these lipsticks but I don't understand what*s so special 🙄

Just bought some, will report back. I'm super fussy with powder and gutted my favorite TonyMoly clear pact has been discontinued.

I have some. It's ok. It's hugely pigmented and unless you're very sparing with it it's like adding another layer of foundation - it seemed very obvious I was wearing powder as opposed to something I use to just take the edge off my T zone.

Hmmm, interesting, thank you. My CT power is arriving at lunchtime today, im in 2 minds about it. I wanted something to take the shine off a bit but dont want to look 'powdery'. Im mid 40s with oily skin, so use cream based make up (Trinny) which I am loving, but with a full face of it, its quite 'dewy' looking, especially as the day goes on, so need a powder for nose and centre of forehead. Almost went for the Clinique clear blotting powder compact, kind of wish I had now.

OK so I've tried the compact now, just on top of Body Shop's Drops of Light cream (I don't wear heavy makeup daily) and I like it. Used a velour puff. Very sheer & natural looking on me, my skin still looks like skin, just a bit more polished. I like it. Can't say that it's worth top dollar, but so fine and I can tell it's quality for sure.
(I'm 49, fairly smooth, some acne scarring & very sensitive pale combination skin with some rosacea & acne.)

PinkCosYouAreSoVery · 19/04/2023 20:33

Im happy with the CT powder too! @VanellopeVonSchweetz99 im a similar age with very similar skin in terms of combination and rosacea. Whenever I have used powers in the last 15 years, they havent been flattering, highlighted wrinkles, .ooked awful but the CT power is like a fine veil over the skin, it's great! I have the fair which Iooked very light when I opened it but when its on its. perfect. Might be slightly pale if I got a tan in the summer but I think the medium would be too much. I applied lightly with the CT sculpting brush (purchased as a set). In fact I have purchased most CT's brushes recently, been very impressed with them, especially the flat double ended complexion brush for foundation and concealer.

Really disappointed. Made me look very cakey and old.
