The dress is pretty but I really don't like the jacket, sorry.

Agree with the pp. I'd look for smth a bit more classic for a jacket. Not a biker style

Dress is lovely.
I'd use it as an excuse to buy the jacket if you really like it, maybe wear it in the evening as it got chilly, but for the day it's a bit harsh IYKWIM.

Agree the jacket seems a bit harsh

What about this instead?

I like it, it looks really stylish, you should look like you but on a good day. So I& that’s your style, go for it

Ooh, I like that jacket. I wore a very similar one in black for my DD's wedding a few years ago, but wanted something in a lighter colour for a June wedding. We don't have that shop available to us (Canada), but I can look for something similar. I do have to order on-line because I live small remote town with no fancy shops.

We don't do hats over here, either.

I'm not mad keen on the colour of the jacket personally but I love the idea of wearing something in that kind of style. I think dress + a more classic style of jacket can look quite frumpy.

mynameiscalypso - that's what I was worried about. Want to be the cool Mum! I had a red fake leather moto jacket when I was 12!

The dress is nice, but have you thought about the bra situation? I would just go braless, but most women I know in their 60's wouldn't feel comfortable doing so.

strapless bra would work or even a halterneck with thin bra straps

I like it, and the jacket. I think it’ll look cool.

I love the dress but I wouldn't put it with the jacket at all
The jacket isn't that great but if you felt you needed it probably more to team up with jeans

I don't like the jacket, it's trying too hard to be the cool mum!

Maybe something like this as an alternative to the jacket? Or one of those little faux-Chanel ones?

If the bridesmaids are wearing pink, I'd avoid that colour jacket completely. Pick another colour from the dress that you could use instead.

I like the dress and biker style jacket together because I think the jacket will sharpen up the dress and stop it looking too chintzy. Admittedly I'm not a big fan of floral dresses so that's where I'm coming from. My concern would be that the wedding's in June so what happens when you want to take the jacket off?

Good point! Pale grey might be nice.

I love the dress but I’m not keen on the jacket. Sorry! If you like biker jackets how about an all saints leather biker or something like thiswww.fatface.com/women/clothing/coats-jackets/suzie-biker-jacket/975599.html?dwvar_975599_color=mid%20green&cgid=women-clothing-coats-and-jackets#start=20

I love that dress and jacket. But might pick a different shade of jacket if the bridesmaids are in pale pink (I have one raspberry and one turquoise leather!)

I'm really not a fan of the jacket and for the occasion just think it would look like a little out of place.

The dress is nice but I don't think is anything special (as in you could find a floral occasion dress anywhere) and for me I can't see much point in buying it just to take so much length of it.

If you feel the need for a jacket then I'd probably just look for a dress with long sleeves instead and consider a colour that contrasts with the bridesmaids rather than matches - it'll look nicer in photographs and won't give the appearance you've tried to join the bridal party.

Yumi dress in various colours

Not suggesting this is perfect but I think it's a good example of something that doesn't need a jacket and works as a good complement in any colour really to the pink dresses (as it has that detail) but without matching.
