Skin & Me the daily doser

I've had enough! I need to do something with my skin. For ref, I'm 60 and suddenly, overnight, I have a face full of wrinkles!
So, I've just gone through the online consultation with skin and me and they've suggested The Daily Doser.
Has anyone used it? What is it? Does it work?
Doesn't seem a bad price at £25 so willing to give it a go but can't seem to find out if it contains Tretinoin.
Anyone have any advice on it?

I started mine 18 months ago at age 61. It does have Tret in, but they start you at a low dose which slowly increases every other month. I think I reached what is their full strength in about 6 months, and it now stays the same. I like it and I think it has stopped so many wrinkles and lines appearing quite so quickly.

The daily doses is their treatment.

the ingredients vary depending on your consultation.

TBH, I have just cancelled mine. It was quite expensive (dermatica is cheaper) and they don’t seem to really increase my tret strength. Tretinoin was the reason I went to them.

The treatment they gave me, was ok. And with Tretinoin you need to give it ages to see any result. I thought it was just ok. So when I have finished this doser I am going to look at Dermatica or the Geek and gorgeous Retinal

Ah so really, tret doesn't really get rid of static lines then? I'm really not sure what I'm doing regarding this.
I'm probably hoping for some kind of miracle in that, I'll apply the product for a few months and all my lines will disappear.
I have tried the Paula's Choice retinol before but that made no difference.

@thenightsky would you say that you've noticed a reduction in lines, or just that you haven't got anymore?

Crows feet look much less obvious, but my nose to corner of mouth lines haven't changed sadly, but at my age I think only surgery would get shut of them now.

FizzyStream · 15/03/2023 20:09

I tried it and it triggered awful perioral dermatitis which I'm now waiting to see a consultant dermatologist for. Wish I'd not done it.

I've been using Skin & Me for a year now , and my prescription includes tretinoin. Although I think the texture of my skin has improved, the lines/wrinkles haven't lesssened and pigmentation hasn't changed. They are going to increase my tretinoin strength over the next 3 months to0.05% so I'll see if that makes any difference. I've not had any sensitivity so far so maybe I'm just one of the people it doesn't r

.. really help

Murphyturphy · 15/03/2023 21:11

I had a look at this but it’s £29.99 a month which I think is extortionate. I was expecting £15 or so.

thenightsky · 15/03/2023 21:26

29.99 a month? That's not right. I'm sure I only pay 19.99

@FizzyStream oh crikey, that's scary. I've had problems in the past that I needed to see a Derm for. I might give the whole thing a miss in that case, not worth the aggro. Hope you get yours sorted soon x

I think it depends when you signed up and also if you get the moisturiser and cleanser

I have been using it for over a year now. I think it’s helping. I have quite an expressive face so have some forehead lines (which I don’t expect it to reduce) but I do feel my skin looks quite good for my age.

I am up to 0.1% tret in my daily doser now (email them and ask to increase it if your skin can tolerate it at the lower doses). They increase it slowly to minimise the chance of a reaction.

My prescription is:
Tretinoin 0.1%
Niacinamide 4%
Azelaic Acid 4%

I use it every other night so I can stretch it out and it works out less expensive 😬. Pretty sure I’m not supposed to as each ‘doser’ has the right amount but it seems to still be doing the trick.

I use it at night and in the morning use Upcircle serum, squalene (The Ordinary), Weleda skin food and spf50.

If you try it using my code below £10 gets donated to Mental Health Foundation and you get your first and fifth doser for £3.50.

If you signed up when it was £19.99 then it remains at that price. I still pay that but new subscribers pay £25 I think. I imagine it may go up again at some point (as everything is) which would make it quite a lot each month.
