Shoes, trainers or boots with this dress?

Have found a lovely Mint Velvet dress to wear when I go for afternoon tea in a 5* hotel with a friend at the beginning of April.

I'm not sure what shoes to wear with it... I have some nice black brogues, doc marten style derby boots, or some smart beige trainers. Which would work best? Or different shoes altogether?

Personally I'd put the docs with it. It's a lovely dress. Definitely not trainers.
