Ideas for smart work clothes that travel well

I've got a work trip and would really like to limit my luggage to a carry on sized wheelie bag. It's 6-7 days away, 24 hours flight there and back, so I need a combo of comfortable and smart.

One pair of smart trainers for trousers and travelling

One pair of shoes or boots for skirt or trousers

Leggings, poncho or wrap for travel

(Don't think I'll need a coat)

So I need a long sleeved top or blouse, long sleeved jumper all in neutral colours

Trousers ok with trainers or boots

Below knee skirt

Few scarfs to mix things up (to offset the same-ness of day to day clothes)

Where would you look? I've probably got some pieces but a skirt, jumper or top would be good.

I’d go for wool as it travels well and copes well with different temperatures ( and air con). Personally, when travelling for work, I also took some exercise gear and a change of clothes for evening ( I did ten days in Edinburgh with a carry on). Personally I tended to do dresses as managed to avoid the need for a jacket for work so took 3 - mostly wore 2 but had the third for the inevitable dinner/ drinks jeans and long sleeved lightweight merino sweater, leggings/ vest & trainers. Had a couple of pashmina type scarves ( I feel the cold).

Shops - depends on your style - I like jigsaw, whistles, Jon Lewis, occasionally M& S.

But do the crumple test as travel instantly sorts out the creased versus non creased.
