Those tiny Malin + Goetz deodorants you get in GWPs and advents

I actually like the full-size version but I’m perplexed that these minis are even made, let alone sold for 12 (12!) pounds. They’re very cute but almost comically difficult to use.

I have accumulated a few so am trying to use them up and it’s like colouring in my armpit with a toddler’s chunky crayon.

Does anyone actually buy them? Is it just that I have crap manual dexterity?

See also the tiny Mitchum sprays which are impossible ( or perhaps I lack the necessary finger force) to hold away from your body and apply enough pressure to actually spray.

I find the tiny GWPs cute but not easy to use, and wasteful. If they are in tubes, most of the product seems to be left in it. If it's a jar, they're often too small to dip a finger in.
I cut the tubes open, and use a spatula, but that seems a faff,

Aesop do a pump spray one which is small but very nice. It does smell like their Marrakesh Intense perfume though, which I imagine is a bit full on for some people.

I really like them. I use then a lot when I'm travelling. I'm not sure why you find them difficult??

LemonJuiceFromConcentrate · 09/03/2023 21:32

Because they’re fiddly!

The surface area is so little that it takes about twenty swipes to properly cover the whole surface area of one underarm. And I’m never really sure I haven’t missed a bit.

It’s not impossible and I don’t mind enough to not use them up when they’re free. But it seems remarkable to me that anyone would shell out twelve quid for them.

I love them for travelling.
