Frizzy hair - day 2

I’m really happy with my hair when I’ve washed it - random waves, ringlets, no frizz, pretty good definition. But on the second day, it’s an abomination. It tangles overnight - just above shoulder length so it won’t stay in a bun/pineapple, and all the greys stick up like a barbed wire hat. If I brush or comb it, it just all coagulates into a frizzy, static lump. I’ve tried a silk pillowcase but I think I fidget too much when I’m asleep for it to do any good.

My question is this: what do I do with it on Day 2?

I use Body Shop ginger conditioner with no shampoo generally when I wash it, and then Cantu cream shampoo every couple of weeks if my hair starts to feel like rope. No silicone etc. My hair doesn’t cope well with rich, heavy conditioners and I’ve never been successful with gels/things that you scrunch in. I wonder if a spray bottle filled with dilute leave-in conditioner might work?

Have a keratin treatment - lovely frizz free hair for many months.

I've wondered about that - would my hair be straightened? I’d like to keep the curls/waves/random shapes really

Don't laugh...try this www.amazon.co.uk/Emmet-Mulberry-Sleeping-Adjustable-Elastic/dp/B07FC9XT1Y/ref=sr_1_18?keywords=silk+bonnet+sleep+cap+for+curly+hair&qid=1678282409&sr=8-18
I saw it recommended here on MN and have bought 2. I used to have to wash my hair dairly (fine, soft and all over the place after sleeping - even on a silk pillowcase).

That’s lovely! I could pretend to be Mrs Tiggywinkle. Might get one for the dog as well so we’re a matching pair 😀

Thank you!
