Need Help - London - Piccadilly Theatre

Hi all,

Please can I get some help with what the hell to wear to a night show at Piccadilly Theatre. Would need to be comfortable, able to wear with very low heeled shoes/boots as staying no where near the theatre so will be doing some travelling in said outfit. Size 16, allllll my weight on my stomach so would like to hide as much of that as possible.

I'm clueless. I've never been to the theatre!

Moulin Rouge is quite a glam show so some people will be dressed up, but most will just be dressed smart casual: jeans and a nice top etc. What would you wear going out to a restaurant or pub?

Or are you stricken with the feeling that you have nothing in your wardrobe that makes you feel nice, and you want a proper makeover?

Yes you have hit the nail on the head there @QuietlyConfident

As long as what you're wearing is clean and tidy, it's fine. Just wear something you're comfortable in.

I don't think London has the same sense of "going out fashion" that other parts of the country does. Unless the occasion is super-formal.

Just wear whatever you want.
There's no dress code and nobody will give two hoots about what you're wearing.

Half of the audience at London shows is made up of tourists in raincoats with rucksacks. Literally anything is acceptable.

Ok thanks all, I have a feeling I am over thinking this! Not very confident after a couple of years of weight gain.

Yes. No one dresses up for the theatre in London as if it's 1952. Honestly jeans, top and trainers will be fine. As pp said many will be tourists wearing very normal clothes and coats.
