Hello! Am 59 and use dermatica tret daily.
The very best skincare result i have ever used is

sunday riley good genes
sunday riley luna oil
charlotte tilbury magic cream

i have been stopped in the street by people when i used then asking what i use

as have got older i read that tret is the very best in anti aging and i now buy this from dermatica as i read that this product is the best , active ,long term investment for the skin.

however , my skin no longer glows . It is however very clear and any pigment ion has really gone and my face looks like a blank canvas more !

i rang dermatica and they said i cant use the sunday riley products as they are too active with retinol?

so id like to ask advice if you use tret .. what is yhe issue with these products , can i use them really , and if not, what wiuld be good ?

i have a more limited income now , but would invest in a brilliant product. Think i look drier with tret and for sure less glowy.

i have been using revolution miracle cream as it is supposed to be a dupe for charlotte tilbury magic cream ? ( its only £10) if that helps anyone , but wd be prep to re buy magic cream ?
thanks wise ones !

Hi I’ve been using Skin + Me for the past 6 months and it’s really improved the appearance of my skin. Pigmentation has really improved and it’s so much softer and clearer.

At the moment, I’m using Clarins Double Serum which is brilliant but very expensive. My husband bought it for my birthday (on my request) but I probably won’t repurchase due to cost. It definitely makes my skin glow though.

In the past I’ve used Lidl’s Q10 night cream and have found it to be good. And it’s cheap. Their Q10 serum is great too for daytime.

Thank you ! So its ok to use with tret?

When you move onto Tret, it’s the Tret and continued use of SPF that become a focus so you can use much cheaper moisturiser and get great results. Like Wineloffa, I have found myself using Lidl’s Cien Q10 night cream and my skin loves it but I also use Hyaluronic acid, eye cream, The Ordinary Natural Moisturising Factors, Argireline and Squalane.

It’s really about finding what’s right for your skin and this Facebook group has loads of suggestions for products and regimes.

I also use Dermatica tret but mine also has hydroquinone to clear pigmentation. Totally agree that although the texture of my skin was nice, it wasn’t as glowy as when I used SR good genes and A+. I have being using the tret with SR Vit C cream since January and a couple of weeks ago I started using Dermatica 20% Azelaic Acid twice a day alongside the tret and my skin is back to glowing. I mean, so glowy it looks like there’s a lightbulb under my skin!

I read somewhere that good genes is too much to combine with tret initially but I’m aiming to start re-introducing it slowly in a few months and seeing how my skin takes it.

Don’t mix your acids with Tret until you’ve got the Tret working on your skin well, and don’t rush to use it every day or you will damage your skin barrier and regret it.

Lentilweaver · 04/03/2023 11:01

I just use any basic moisturiser.Simple or Olay. Nothing else. Except sunscreen in summer. That was the attraction of tret for me. I don't need to use anything else.

cocksstrideintheevening · 04/03/2023 11:13

You need spf with tret all year round. I use dermatica and my skin was a bit crap for about eight weeks, it is now much better. I just use the tret and Nivea moisturiser, don't need anything else

Wineloffa · 04/03/2023 11:39

Yes it’s fine to use with Tret!

doadeer · 05/03/2023 07:48

I use La Roche Posay moisturiser I love them. I also wear an oil over too as I have dry skin, squalene is a good one.

I love the beauty pie ceramide capsules after Tret.

I wear a lot of Spf

So you are saying your skin looked so good people stopped you in the street.

Yet you stopped your routine and started using Tret.

Why?

Mumsanetta · 05/03/2023 09:26

@sausage767 i actually did a similar thing and my reasons were: I wanted to get rid of a small amount of hyperpigmentation, maintain a wrinkle free appearance and I’m a skincare addict always on the look out for something else to try!

Ginandammies · 05/03/2023 11:46

Sausage .
because i wanted to invest in the long term .. tret is the most effective anti aging treatment apparently .
