Recommendations for nasolabial fold treatment in York

I have horrible naslabial folds developing which I'm really self-conscious of. I've attached a picture which has actually just made me feel more depressed.

I'm after recommendations for people that could do a good job of filler or botox for these horrible lines. I live in York but would potentially go to Leeds for a good person.

Any help is much appreciated.

Hi @FineLinesLady I don’t think you need to change how you look at all but if you’re keen to change the lines, before you pay out for surgery, have you looked face yoga? I’ve seen some really eff3 tone looking stuff on instagram & TikTok - might be worth giving it a couple of months and see if you can naturally change them.

I've never heard of face yoga. Off to investigate now though.

Thank you!

Check out YouTube as well, if you haven’t already - lots of face yoga stuff for them there too.

Sorry for typos! I’m on hold to dwp & typing one handed! 😂

Bumping this. I wonder if anyone has any general advice about nasolabial folds? Is it fillers that I need?

Many thanks in advance for any help.

I don't think many practitioners would fill nasolabial lines now @FineLinesLady. I think it adds bulk to the lower face and can make it monkey-like. I think they recommend filling your cheeks to give a lift to your lower face instead.
I don't think your look bad at all!

Cheek fillers will help, as ughtheweather says.

Try face yoga by all means but it won't help, and is actually thought to worsen wrinkles and sagging. Think about how wrinkles are formed with movement and stretching of the skin...

Fillers needed. They will use nasolabial filler but usually try cheekbones first for the reasons stated by a pp. it also acts as scaffolding and support.

I have no idea what this is but if you are thinking of messing around with your face in Yorkshire go and see Professor Simon Kaye

Thank you so much for your comments. I'm a bit worried about cheek fillers, I don't want to look all puffed and pillow-y 😬

Does anyone have experience of subtle cheek fillers? Is there such a thing?

I had to look up what nasolabial folds were.😀 I then looked in the mirror and mine are much more defined than yours. I can't see anything wrong with yours now that I know what they are if that helps. Its your face though and you're the one who needs to be happy with it.

RebelDiamonds · 06/03/2023 10:24

If you add volume to the cheek area it will lift your lower face, you won't end up with puffy, hamster cheeks but make sure you use a dr / nurse prescriber and do your research on them. Go for a consultation first.

Have a look at Young Lines in Malton - Karen is very well regarded and also a registered nurse.
