Shopping in York on Saturday - where sells decent clothes?

I need decent jumpers and t-shirts.

Good quality fabrics without silly fashion designs… without a ridiculous premium. Does such a shop exist?

I can get good quality plain t-shirts and jumpers for my son and husband in good cotton/ wool fabrics. The same does not seem to exist for women. I don’t want to pay silly prices for plastic fabrics.

I used to love York for shopping but honestly these days I'd go to John Lewis in Leeds. So many things have closed down. Even Beverley is better for shopping than York.

I think York is good for shopping but it's the usual stuff. Mango, Zara etc but I can't think of anything where you can get quality cotton basics.

I've recently got some lovely 100% cotton jumpers and tee-shirts from Weekday which are fab quality for the price but the only shop outside London is Sheffield so I order online.

Browns has a selection of different makes. The designer outlet is better than York centre now. On the A64

I always head to Reiss, Mint Velvet or White Company. Oliver Bonas is sometimes good too.
Love York CC and the outlet. York is great for shopping imo.

The outlet has white stuff & joules. I went before Christmas and thought there were fewer clothing shops, unless you want sports or outdoor gear.
