What to wear with these cords?!

Just bought these on a whim as they are reduced. What would you wear with them top wise and shoes? I'm normally a blue or black jeans person but I fancied a change!

Plain black T-shirt.
Pretty Victorian style blouse
Sloppy jumper
Relaxed hoodie.
Cropped T-shirt and little cardi over

This type of thing?
Must have a search on Pinterest- lots of ideas there.

What are your options? What do you have in your wardrobe that you'd normally wear with jeans?

Forest green
Mustard
White or cream
Teal

Bodysuit or ribbed vest t-shirt /cropped chunky knit (cardi with buttons) or checked shirt

So my clothing situation at the moment is pretty dire as I've got 3 small kids. I tend to just wear jeans, a white or black and white striped t shirt and a hoodie, or knitted jumper, but I thought these might look good with some colour.
I do have a navy ribbed fitted top, would that go? I've got a bottle green jumper too.

Not light pink I think. I think cream or white is perfect. A cream knit would look classy. I think black is too much of a contrast and blocky. Try pale blue striped shirt or beige/white stripes. I think dark green is better than black. I feel the trousers are colour enough. I like them!

With any vibrant or strong colour bottom half, I only ever wear black or white top half.

With these I would wear a long sleeved black t-shirt. Probably slightly cropped or a longer one tucked in. Zara do loads of useful black/white t-shirt basics.

Black with those trousers will make it look like you got scared/ couldn't be arsed halfway through getting dressed.

Try the pink tshirt, it depends on the shade.

Think they will be too long but if they fit I will take them up.

@Rollerbird haha! They are such a bargain aren't they!! Too tempting. I managed to get the 31 length in my size so hoping they will fit, but if not will take them up.

@Whataretheodds I kind of agree about the 'getting scared half way through' comments 😂 that's what I tend to do. I get something brave and then try to tone it down. I've recently moved to an area where people wear all kinds of random things and it's given me a bit of an urge to be more bold!

There are a pair available in a 31 leg now in my size so I'm exchanging

I've recently bought a couple of cord trousers like this, I tend to wear cream or dusky pink jumpers with brown cords. I have a pair similar colour to the superdry ones and have some boho type jersey tops which look nice.

Depending on the shade, this would actually look really good. Orange and pink are beside each other on the colour wheel, so they compliment each other.

Mid-blue would be another great option, because those colours are opposite each other on the colour wheel. People often think they can only wear neutrals with colour, but it's not true!

Think they will attempt again tomorrow. I didn't notice the reviews about sizing up so I have a feeling mine will be too small! Now they have 31 in lots of sizes at least I can exchange if need be.
What's the fit like? I'm smaller in the legs and bum, but tend to be wider round the waist.

I'm more of an athletic shape. A flat stomach but no waist.

They are the best fitting trousers I've bought in years so I'm very happy. I'm now going to keep an eye on the other colours for reductions! 😊
