Nice looking sweatshirts?

Marghe87 · 27/02/2023 16:53

I posted something similar months ago but am still searching for some nice sweatshirts to wear on days off around the house and to go out with toddler DD.
I’d like something warm and soft, not too pricey but good quality and possibly quite stylish but without a visible brand (although I don’t mind slogans). I have checked HM, Pull&Bear, M&S, Hush, Urban Outfitters and more and can’t find anything I love.
Budget up to £35 ish. Any suggestions?

Vinted? I got a lovely mustard fatface one off there the other day. Wear with leggings and converse

I've been looking for decent sweatshirts too. I got one in Primark to fill a gap - it was £12. It's plain black. It's thick and washes well. It's a lovely shape too.

My husband has an expensive Rapanui sweatshirt and my Primark one is like for like! Just no branding 😊

I rarely go in there tbh!

Usually I try Crew Clothing first but can't afford them at the moment due to unemployment x

Swisspolkadot · 27/02/2023 17:22

www.primark.com/en-gb/p/essential-long-sleeve-sweatshirt-black-991053535804 They're actually £6!

Think I might get another one for Spring! X

Community clothing. Great quality, well cut in good colours, and you’ll be supporting the British textile industry and jobs.

A bit over budget but also won’t fall apart after three washes

gawditswindy · 27/02/2023 17:28

My favourites are Mint Velvet (which was a gift) and H&M. H&M washed way bettter than the MV one but they're both thick, cosy and comfy.

Spendy but Colourful Standard.

I discovered this brand 👇recently.

I have the sweatshirt, cowl hoodie and a couple t shirts and the quality is awesome

I have had Primark sweatshirts recently and find even after washing them, they leave loads of fluff on my t shirt underneath which is very annoying - if I take off my sweatshirt, I still want my t shirt to look nice and not have to get a lint roller to it.

Was just going to say Scamp and Dude and they wash really well.

Bigpinkslippers · 28/02/2023 16:52

I got a lovely one from Soya Concept, not very thick but then I'm always hot. Feels very soft and washes well

Stevie77 · 28/02/2023 17:05

Oliver Bonas have some nice ones sometimes that are a bit more than a plain sweatshirt.

I've got a few from sugarhill Brighton and a couple from whistles (although the whistles ones were a bit expensive). All wash really well though.

I have 4 sweatshirts at the moment..v varied in cost!
The cheapest is a plain grey with a hood from primark which I wear as house clothes.
Then I have a dark green with black velvet spots from Whistles. This is at least 3 years old & has washed brilliantly

Last year I bought a mint velvet white one with cut out details across the chest. It's v pretty but I feel it may have shrunk slightly in the wash which isn't great for the price. It's also the thinnest material but I'm OK with that as its a summer one.

And the one I wear the most is a zadig & voltaire. It's a black crew neck with gold embroidered lettering on the front. It was stupidly expensive but it fits perfectly. It's super comfortable & has washed like a dream. I wear it a lot at weekends with whistles black luxe joggers & it's one of my favourite outfits for casual wear.

Muthahood do some nice ones (more expensive than your budget but may still have some in the sale)

This is a great thread - thank you for this recommendation- always looking for companies like this!

I also like Emma Warren, good quality with fun embroidery.

Live my Primark ones. Picked up a lovely camel coloured one for £6. Their hoodies have washed very well and are great quality for the price.
