Do the brown loafers work with the skirt for business
Pics are with black more sheer tights and navy tights.

It is no big deal if not, they work with ankle grazers. I was originally planning to get black patent brogues with the skirt or maybe black loafers with a small gold buckle.

Last pic is existing shoes. Hate the heel on them. Call them my sad shoes. I will replace them but atm need loafers as we come into spring.

I think they look a bit odd, sorry. But then I’m not sure I’m the most fashionable person in the world 🙈 the old shoes look better and smarter. If you wanted to wear the loafers I’d go with nude tights personally.

When reading the OP I was expecting a firm 'no'! However I think because of the blacky tone to them, they do go. The photo from further away gives a better idea.
If someone at my (central London, all ages) office was wearing that I would think it looked good.

I think it depends on how formal your office is. I don’t think it looks bad as such. I personally wouldn’t wear it to a business meeting though (I’m a lawyer).

I prefer the black ones

They’d work a lot better with a different colour tights. Grey or Tan/natural/brown. Possibly burgundy as well.

Ahh nude tights!! Totally forgot about that. Different coloured tights sound complicated to match with the skirt. I only bought the skirt on a whim as it was £15 in Marks, they do a brown one I think which I may check out now.

@MistySkiesAreGone can I ask where the loafers are from, I really like them.

In answer to your questions, depends on what color your top is I think. I tend to wear brown/ tan shoes with navy and then a cream or pale coloured top to work. Not sure I'd wear them eith black tights. Maybe in spring with a lighter top.

I have a patent loafer with a slightly flat form sole that I wear for every.

I cant ever imagine I'd wear a ballet pump agin despite wearing them for years!

@MistySkiesAreGone if the soles are black (can’t quite tell...) I’d go ahead and wear them as it will work just fine! It really doesn’t look awful or anything so I think you can pull it off. I love loafers anyway and they’re miles better than the boots IMO.

The loafers are totally inoffensive. Do NOT go for nude tights ffs. If you're asking about the loafers and skirt combo - they're fine together.If you're asking about the whole outfit there's nothing wrong with it, but it's exactly what I wore to 6th form in 1989. I now wear Vejas to work, so what do I know?

The loafers look good with the skirt & tights but I would reconsider the shirt if that's what you planned wearing together. It's very 'school uniform' & not in a good way.
The shoe boots are not good.

They are from Dune, current. Guardian tan. V comfy, good vamp which is supportive and I think they will age well.

They look fine. I am not a massive fan of the skirt, but I like the shirt and the shoes and would wear with trousers. But if the skirt is a firm decision, it does go.
