Best make-up counter for woman in her 30s?

I have a night out coming up soon, and I want to treat myself to a full face of make-up!

I'm heading into a big city, where I can pretty much go to any counter (Bobbi Brown, Charlotte Tilbury, Benefit, etc). Which would be best for my age?

I want to look naturally glamourous

I have always liked Bobbi Brown. Their lip glosses are my go to product. I found CT a bit shiny and overdone but as I am nowhere near 30 what do I know!

Charlotte Tilbury without a doubt!
It's expensive but it's worth it.

I used to be a MAC girl, but I'm totally converted! Maybe it's my age - I'm 33.

You can book a makeup consultation in store and they'll spend anywhere from 45mins to 2 hours working with you to find your desired look and products that suit you.

The cost of this is redeemable against what you spend in store.

Have a look at their website.

I sound like I work for them....! I don't! Lol x

Agree with the above. I'd recommend Bobbi Brown over CT although would also recommend Nars and if you can afford it, hourglass.

Is Bobbi Brown redeemable? Their website doesn't suggest that it is?

They used to do 'free' makeup lessons which of course is a giant sales pitch but you don't have to buy anything.

Don't know if they still do.

I love CT and any time they have done my make up I’ve been really happy (and I’m fussy about it as Mac always made me look weird 😂). I like their beautiful skin foundation and obsessed with their new cream bronzer if you need to buy product! Enjoy!!!!

Do you have a Selfridges nearby? I recently had a makeover at the Beauty Concierge there which was amazing as she used all different brands! I've had my make up done at Mac and Nars before but it was brilliant being able to use a multitude of brands. It was redeemable too! Grin

For night out makeup I’d say Charlotte Tilbury if you’re wanting glam. Bobbie Brown is lovely but it’s a much more natural look. For context I’m early 30s and use both brands (and Chanel) but for evening out makeup it’s CT every time!

I also had a MAC makeover once and I looked very weird!

I would go for Bobbi Brown or Laura Mercier.

The Bobbi Brown ones says they're £40/ £50... is it redeemable? If not, I think I'll go with CT

Long shot as a while ago... but did you find out if the cost was redeemable? Where did you end up going?? I'm torn between CR, BB and Nars. Thanks!
