Daren't wear my new boots!

Years ago I bought some size 6 boots from Wallis. I am really a five and a half but have to buy 6 and a half or seven as have wide feet. The boots felt fine in the shop but I hardly wore them as they were too tight once I actually owre them and walked more than 5 steps in them.

The other day I bought some Caterpillar boots. The ones I bought are a size 6 children's boot and felt fab in the shop, really comfy, I could wiggle my toes and they weren't at the very end. I tried a size 6 adult boot on just to make sure and they felt too tight. The children's ones are softer and deeper. Really don't want another black boots situation. I have 28 days to take them back if necessary but not if they look worn. Will they be okay? [daft person emoticon]

Give them a good walking about on a nice deep carpet.

I asked about walking around the house but she said if they look worn (ie feet marks inside) I couldn't take them back. They are going to be so loved if they fit!

wear them in house to trial

dont step outside in them if they see any wear on them you will be stuck with them

chocolatespiders · 09/02/2008 16:32

could you put insole or paper inside to trial

or just sit in them for an hour!!!!! you will soon know if they are tight

I just want to wear them!! Will try later when I go upstairs. Thanks.

The daft thing is if they were adults boots that said size 7 in I would be wearing them by now!!

Is the problem that they are children's boots? Do they look like children's boots?
God I wish I could wear childrens shoes sometimes but my size 7s won't allow it!

No, they look identical to adult caterpillars. It is just that they are a six. I have put them on with a clean pair of thinner socks and I think they will be fine!

I have this problem. My feet measure a 4 and fit a 4 but after a while they hurt, so I buy a 5 which dont hurt but are really too big. VVV annoying.

p.s I have very narrow feet so how does that figure..confused.com!!
