What do you wear for a baby shower? I've never been to one before.

Shower just refers to the showering with gifts.

The attached party can be pretty much anything - is it at a hotel, some other venue or someone's home? What are the usual styles of entertaining for the host and the honoree?

Ah ok, so it's being held in a pub with a function room and the person who is pregnant is very glam, shower being thrown by her mum who is more laid back.

Tea dress?
Maxi dress?
Jeans and fave top?
My friends are v casual so there'd be lots of dungarees and jeans and trainers
