Wash my hair or leave it?

Having my hair coloured at the hairdressers tomorrow (only made the appointment today, appointment was originally on Friday) planned to wash my hair for the Friday appointment because I’ve used some John Frieda Frizz Ease serum and Moroccan Oil. I haven’t got the time to wash my hair tonight and appointment is first thing in the morning, will the colour still “stick” or should I just somehow wash it? Not finished work yet, got a poorly DD too, got to still do some food shopping and make dinner so I’m really pressed for time but roots desperately needed doing.

They say you should wash your hair a day or two before getting it coloured to allow the natural oils on your scalp to protect your skin from any potential irritation caused by hair dye. But washing your hair the day before your appointment should'nt significantly affect the colouring process.

If you don't have time to wash your hair before your appointment, don't worry too much. Your hairdresser will likely wash your hair before coloring it to remove any product buildup or oils. Just be sure to let your hairdresser know if you used any hair products, as some products can affect how the colour turns out.

It's best to avoid using any hair products for a few days before your appointment to ensure that your hair is free of any buildup. Hope that helps

Thank you, I’ll the stylist know tomorrow. If she says it needs to be washed, I’ll have to ask her to do it and if there’s an extra charge so be it. I would have washed it tomorrow morning if my appointment had been on Friday but I’m not going to get a chance so it’ll just have to be. Thank you so much.
