Any tips on making botox wear off faster?

Just that really. Any tried and tested methods welcome. Currently using a Nuface device which doesn’t seem to be doing much. Have tried hot compresses in the past too which also didn’t help much!

Lots and lots of high impact exercise, or alternatively, but I absolutely would not recommend, smoking or vaping.

Nu Face has no impact on it though, if anything it improves results of Botox.

Why do you want it to wear off? I'm getting it soon so I'm intrigued!

Massage the area. Physically work the muscles that are frozen.

Vaping ? Why ?

Following so I can avoid doing the answers 😬. Had mine done a couple of weeks ago and I love it

I only like the results after 6 weeks. Have gone down to a super low dose but my muscles just seem to freeze from the initial shock of botox. Am now considering switching to Dysport, hoping i don’t respond to it the same way. I’ve been exercising the muscles as suggested, I do think this is the best way to help it wear off. Heard an electric toothbrush being suggested too, haven’t tried that one yet!

Slightly concerned that Nuface enhances the botox 😕

Vaping ? Why ?

Nicotine breaks down cells and collagen, ie. speeds up the process of Botox deterioration. Results and longevity will be less than for a non-smoker/non-vaper.

OP Slendertone used to have a face version that stimulated muscles, not sure if they still make it, but I suppose that would be similar to an electric toothbrush.

Sauna??

@Appleabananasandpears I have had the same problem in the past. I stopped getting botox because it actually didn't seem to last long, I seemed to metabolism it after only aweeks, but like you, I really didn't like my face the first 3 weeks. I seemed to look really odd and my forehead felt really heavy even though I only had little amounts injected. I second the suggestion of high intense exercise

Fromwetome · 22/02/2023 00:12

What about one of those exercise muscle guns, that vibrate muscles to loosen them after exercise..

Or actually...do you have a vibrator? It'll vibrate the muscle really well. I once used my vibrator in my neck when I woke up with a stiff neck and it did the trick!
