Skin and me moisturiser & cleanser

If you subscribe to skin and me, do you also use their moisturiser and cleanser? I subscribed recently and got the freebies which I really like. I've opted to get the full size version but it's expensive. I'm not sure if I'm loving it because it's great or just because I'm seeing the effect of being much more consistent about my skincare. I'm on tretinoin which is also presumably doing something. What do others use? Do you think it's worth it?

I got it when it was free for the first month and I wasn’t very impressed tbh. I prefer a balm or oil cleanser though and have my favourite moisturisers. If it works for your skin though it might be worth it.

I find pretty much all balms to be full of cocoa butter/greasy ingredients and lots of essential oils etc my skin can't cope. Would love to find an alternative for nightly cleansing.

I guess it's all down to skin type. I liked the products but would quite like to see if there's anything with similar ingredients that I might be able to get cheaper.

I quite like the cleanser & moisturiser and did repurchase but I’m not sure if it’s worth the money
(No help sorry!)

I am wondering the same thing. I think I will just get the daily doser for month 2 & use up my usual cleanser and moisturiser and see how I feel for month 3. They are much more expensive than my usual products but of there is a difference I will fork out.

veneeroftheyear · 21/02/2023 19:50

That's a good plan @DialsMavis. I think I'll give it a go too. I can't tell what is the tret/moisturiser etc and what is just me taking a bit more care of my skin.

I really, really liked the cleanser, but didn't like the moisturiser (nothing special IMO and I much preferred what I usually use which is cheaper). Annoying because they don't seem to let you order just one or the other.

I use Cerave for very dry skin at night and their spf 50 for the daytime. I use cetaphil face wash for dry and sensitive skin. I prefer them to the skin and me face wash and moisturiser and they are a better price

I got the freebies but I wasn't that impressed for the money so didn't purchase ongoing. I've got a cloth called erase your face to cleanse - it is basically a flannel! But my friend had fantastic results so I gave it a try and very happy too. I just use a basic light moisturiser

Polarbearyfairy · 22/02/2023 07:46

I didn't get the moisturiser and cleanser, my skin likes what it likes and I've learned to be very cautious about new products! I did find the daily dose I have made my skin a bit drier than it already is, so I added in hyaluronic acid and my skin is happy again.

I'm very impressed with the results from the daily dose after just 2 weeks though. I've got a formula to reduce scarring and dark marks. Genuinely my face looks better already.

veneeroftheyear · 22/02/2023 20:55

@dontgobaconmyheart I agree- it would be good to buy them separately. I'd also quite like the miniature size for travelling too.

@AsLongAsIHaveMyTea I'll check out that cleanser too. Thanks.

I like them but not enough to justify the price

Sunshineboo · 22/02/2023 21:17

i wish i could buy the moisturiser not the cleanser - it's not the best i have used but it is ok and so convenient to have it delivered. hate the cleanser tho
