YSL Lou camera or Gucci Marmont camera

I know these bags have been around for a few years now but I tried them on this morning and really liked both of them. As they were in concessions in Selfridges I couldn’t try them on side by side which would have been ideal and potentially stopped my procrastination!

I need a new black cross body bag and liked both with the black hardware (I quite liked the YSL with the silver hardware too). I liked the chain detail on the Gucci but felt the YSL may be better quality.

Does anyone own either of these bags and would you recommend? Thanks!

HI OP, did you buy either of the bags? I am on here asking the same question! They both look lovely. Previously, i would have veered towards the YSL as it was over £200 cheaper! Damn those price increases, now they are both around £1200. I think the newer version of the YSL one has a back pocket now which might be handy. I love the look of both of them, and own neither as I have always been torn between the two.

Not yet! I keep coming back to the YSL though. I’m pretty sure that the Gucci was just one big pocket whereas the YSL had compartments which I prefer. I think I need another try on.
