Hair straightening - are you hooked?

Keen to hear from ladies who straighten their hair in salons, be it brazilian blow dry, keratin treatment, yuko system…
The techiniques all get muddled up.

What do you have done? Why? How much and how often in maintanance? Will you ever stop? When?

I’ve done many different kinds of those straithening methods before and each time go back to curls after s period as I didn’t want to spend on upkeep - but now that I’m older, going graciously silver, have more money and a shitty hairstyle due to haircut that went wrong, I will try again.

Already paid a non refundable deposit so there is no going back unless I use it for something else, but the hairdresser is a specialist who does straightening, perms etc, so what else?

Talk to me please!

The pictures are not me - and my hair is a lot less grey than both but I know I will. ever dye again.

1- similar to how it is now
2- goal

I know the pics are completely different btw - including hair colour and skin tone ~ I’m brunnette and have a very simple, modest, comfortabld and minimalistic dress style which can look like boring or even plain - but my idea is if hair and nails are tip top I will always look put together.

What do you think?

Embrace your hair as it is. Spend the money and time on something else.

Appreciate I am not answering your question but the emotional energy trying to look different isn’t always good for mental health.

Hopefully you’ll get some other responses that do answr your question and you can then make an informed choice. Good luck!

Thank you. I appreciate your comment.

Is more about looking after my looks, especially now that I’m older and going silver

I don’t do botox, fillers, surgery etc. Not super stylish either.

I think it is more the lenght of the hair bothering me … as it gets longer maybe I can grow out again - but right now I look like a boy or likd my mum who is a butch and I dont feel myself

My hair is curly (think susan sarandon with her copper hair) i look nothing like her unfortunately but hair is similar and I just leave mine alone! It is dyed but I leave the curls natural. I'd stay natural and just grow it out if you want it longer 🙂 use lots of conditioning treatments to keep it healthy.

Thanks

I would love to have european curly;)
Mine is more to the afro side, the dryiness, fizz is relenteless, however the style suited me just fine when I was younger or coloured it - now O just look either mad or like I completely let myself go
