White canvas trainers and fake tan?

I don't tan, I have to put gradual on. So, if I want to wear some white canvas trainers on holiday this year, am I going to ruin them with rub off? Picked up some white supergas in the sales and considering whether a dark colour would have been a better idea! Will they wash? I never have a problem with my clothes I don't think.

That just screams chavvy to me, sorry OP. White trainers, cringe. Fake tan, even cringier

Wha...light gradual tan to fade out the blueness and classic white supergas? You're trolling @SchoolTripDrama

I'd wear both op and wouldn't describe myself as remotely chavvy lol. I think you could treat with vanish etc if it happens. I stick mine in the wash over the summer all the time and they come up fine. Nothing wrong with fake tan as long as its not too dark and is evenly applied. Much better than skin cancer and looking older than you need to imo. Whatever makes you feel good!

Grin at Supergas being 'chavvy'. And nothing wrong at all with a bit of gradual tan either. I've put my pale pink Supergas in the wash and they've been fine, so don't worry.

What's wrong with not having a tan?

Justkoko · 18/02/2023 10:22

Nothing wrong with not having a tan, and by my standards others would probably say I still don't have a tan. I just like a glow which makes me feel healthier and my skin looks more even. Otherwise it can look a bit blotchy tbh. Its almost like a bit of tinted moisturiser/foundation for my legs and arms. (Or is foundation chavvy these days too?😆) I don't like sitting out in the sun and my skin type burns so it's the best way. I f I can chuck my supergas in the wash maybe it'll be OK. Either that or I'll change them for navy ones.

I've never ruined any white trainers using dove gradual tan.

DistantSkye · 18/02/2023 11:18

I use fake tan in the summer and have never ruined white trainers. You can wash canvas converse/superga types anyway though.

What a stupid comment 🙄

OP, you can wash them if you need, they'll be fine. Like you I like a bit of colour too but have yet to ruin a pair of white trainers.

Your title made me imagine an outfit consisting solely of trainers and fake tan. It sounded a little breezy…
