Sezane dupe knitwear/shirts

So, my husband has just shrunk 2 of my favourite jumpers; they were my only slightly feminine/detailed knitwear pieces, and everything else is pretty plain and boring.

I'm doing a low-buy but the knitwear situation is sure. I love Sezane knitwear (and shirts), and generally their whole look. Has anyone come across any decent dupes at (preferably) fraction of price?

I've seen a few shirts from La Redoute that could pass as Sezane. Not sure about knitwear though.

In short, no! They really are fairly unique...sessun too but hardly cheaper. Sorry for the mishap! I hate it when shrinkage happens!

Definitely worth having a look on eBay, Vinted etc for second hand. Sézane knitwear is great quality IME and it’d be better to get something lovely second hand than a cheaper imitation.

Pigtailsandall · 16/02/2023 09:09

Yes, while I usually agree with you @Wiennetta I'm still at the stage of life where a small, sticky person grabs me at breakfast table with weetabix-ed hands, so I'm somewhat reluctant to pay over £100 for a delicate jumper. I have one or two very nice ones, but I'd like some pretty ones which I can use more daily and not worry quite so much. I got a really nice dupe from M&S a few years back, and it is actually very lovely, so I think they exist. I just thought perhaps someone had found a gem they wanted to share!

Have you looked at Other Stories? They seem to have a similar style?

MrsCornelius · 21/02/2023 17:53

But maybe not much cheaper, sorry just noticed their silk blouse costs more than Sezane!

Lightninginabox · 21/02/2023 18:16

Per una sometimes does similar-ish stuff - all washable for those sticky hand moments!

Pigtailsandall · 23/02/2023 15:37

@MrsCornelius Yes, I got a stripy cotton jumper from them in the 20% off sale. It has definite Sezane vibes. I do keep an eye on their stock, but agree it's not always much cheaper - this was £55 with the discount, and as it's cotton, it's a bit less prone to shrinking/general distruction

@Lightninginabox I agree, I have a green Per Una wool jumper which I love, again with some Sezane vibes. They have a few good dupes in atm, but not in my colour & the sleeves are a bit puffy for me. But definitely another brand I'm keeping an eye on

I will say that I am having a massive wardrobe clearout right now and everythign I have ever bought from And other stories has lasted and lasted and lasted and been worn the most. I am not at all an obsessive fan and buy maybe 1-3 things a year in the sale... it was only while sorting thigns out and thinking ooh i love that cardi ive had it for years... that shirt... that top etc that i realised a high proportion were &stories. God their name is annoying to type though.

Lightninginabox · 23/02/2023 16:01

Does anyone have a really good jumper shaving recommendation for all these bobbly sezane looky-likeys?

betsyannegrey · 23/02/2023 21:48

There was a thread about sezane recently with a link to a French company with a very similar vibe but much more affordable. Sorry I can't remember the name but it's definitely worth having a search. It was in the last 3/4 months IIRC.
