Oliver Bonas jewellery

Am looking for some simple, inexpensive (but not cheap looking) earrings. I've seen a couple of pairs I like on the Oliver Bonas website, but don't have a shop nearby to look at them 'in the flesh'.

Before I order, has anyone bought earrings from there and how did you find them?

I have a few pieces of their jewellery and have always found it good quality.

flightless55 · 15/02/2023 18:14

I'm wearing some gold hoops at the moment and they're great! Will be buying all my jewellery from there now
Great mid range fashionable jewellery IMO

I've quite a few of their earrings and never had an issue. Worth having a look at their sale section as they often reduce!

takethedevilledeggs · 15/02/2023 18:16

I've got a few pairs of earrings too and really happy with them.

BHRK · 15/02/2023 18:28

Another one who is happy with the quality of their jewellery

MrsBunnyEars · 15/02/2023 18:30

Seconding what they all said - it’s great for interesting stuff that’s not too pricey

BergamotandLime · 15/02/2023 18:48

I've got a beautiful necklace someone gave me seven years ago despite wearing it almost every day is still perfect!

Motnight · 15/02/2023 18:51

Really like their earrings, we'll made, look great and not too expensive. If you work for the NHS you can also get a discount!

takethedevilledeggs · 15/02/2023 18:51

Fucksake, just spent 50 quid.

KnottyKnitting · 15/02/2023 19:06

My DDs really like Oliver Bonas. Most of their stuff seems really good quality but their customer service is excellent when there is a problem. The catch came loose on a necklace I bought DD for her birthday. She called them and they immediately apologised and sent her another via next day delivery. Didn't require the old one back either.

Unlike another online jeweller we have used ( Silver by mail) who insisted on repairing a cheap ring where all the stones had fallen out. When it came back it was totally misshapen and the stones all fell out again!

QuicheQuoche · 15/02/2023 19:08

DD chose me some lovely studs from there for my birthday recently as one has not long opened near us. I would highly recommend them.

Floralnomad · 15/02/2023 19:09

I bought my sister a bracelet from Oliver Bonas for Christmas and it’s lovely , very nice quality .

minipie · 15/02/2023 19:10

Yep, some of my favourite earrings are from there. The costume stuff not the silver. Though the silver looks nice too and I keep eyeing it up.

dontgobaconmyheart · 15/02/2023 19:11

Not earrings as I've never pierced my ears but I've had a few necklaces from OB and always found them very fair quality for the price point. Nice for gifting without spending a fortune too.

tresleches · 15/02/2023 19:54

I generally think it's overpriced for what it is (same goes for their clothes) but when a necklace I bought in the sale broke, they had it fixed for me.

declutteringmymind · 15/02/2023 19:59

It's lovely. All the gold plated pieces I've bought from here have lasted well.

Namechangeforthis189 · 15/02/2023 20:17

My favourite earrings are from there. I’m wearing them now, little silver hoops with a turquoise bar on the end. Lovely quality and still look brand new even though I never take them out.

TheOGCCL · 15/02/2023 22:05

There are two types of jewellery in Oliver Bonas, the cheaper stuff which is on cards on a rack and the more expensive stuff which is locked up in a glass cabinet.

I think it's all decent enough but browsing in there today the prices have gone up (as everything has) - £15 for some very flimsy feeling studs with a plastic 'pearl'. The styles are lovely and I'd actually pay more for better quality.

Lol I know I'm going straight to the website!!

BernieWinters · 15/02/2023 22:27

The BEST earrings, have had some great bracelets and necklaces too. Really really good value, never looks cheap

Crispynoodle · 15/02/2023 22:30

Yup! I too did £50.50 on the on sale jewellery I'm such a bloody sheep

HedwigIsMyDemon · 15/02/2023 22:30

Always get compliments when I wear OB earrings 😄

chipshopElvis · 15/02/2023 22:51

I have some earrings which are great.

doubleshift · 16/02/2023 01:00

For good value jewellery I usually end up on Brand Alley. Lots of 18k gold at costume jewellery prices.

Poblano · 16/02/2023 07:04

Well that seems to be a pretty unanimous yes, thank you.

(And apologies to those who were inspired to spend!)
