last year when i went to pakistan, i had thirteen shalwar kameez made for me. they were not cheap. however, when i came back, i started a diet and lost two stone. i am now a size 10 rather than the 16 i was then.
so what should i do? charity shop them? or attempt to resixe them myself? or just let them continue to take up wardrobe space? the entire wardrobe is chock full of big size asian outfits that i no longer fit. but i spent a lot of money on them. and need a kick up my back side to do something with them.

whilst i can sew, cutting shoulders down and reattaching a sleeve is not one of my strong points.

Get yourself - as I did today - a cheapo digital camera from Sainsbury's, and set about flogging them on Ebay!

Haven't a clue how to go about it, though!

get 'em resized, or at least some of them (prettiest or most-useful)

much easier to take in than let out, esp as waistbands are hidden, but you might run into trouble if they're beaded etc - worth consulting a local sari shop to see if they do alterations

yes, thats a good idea. ive got the camera already, so just need to figure out how to get the pictures on the comuter.
they are really good quilty materials and hand embroidery. not the nasty m achine sort you can get in many places her. i'll go check if there is a market for them on ebay. thanks 2sugars.
