Kids trainers for adult - are they different?

So I've found a pair of new balance trainers online that I really like in my size, 6 (39), but they're in the kids section. Are they actually gonna fit me or is there a difference in how they're constructed? They're in the sale & a bargain at £32!

I always buy kids trainers. I’ve never had a problem with them. I bought a pair of New Balance trainers from the adult department and they were the most uncomfortable shoes I’ve ever put on my feet, so they went straight back.

I wanted some black brogues and ended up with boy’s school shoes - they were about £13, leather, and the comfiest shoes I’ve ever had!

It very much varies with brands. I’ve found adidas adult shoes vastly better in terms of arch support and ankle structure. The kids version felt cheap by comparison.

I am a 5 to a 5 and a half. I have bought boys trainers for years as I want plain black trainers. Never had a problem, but I am not a runner.

I find kids trainers fit me better as they tend to be a bit wider.

Ooo...I assumed they were narrower! Will have to try some on in future.

Update
They arrived today & fit great, really comfy & don't feel any different to an adult trainer. I'll be keeping my eye out on the kids section from now on!

I’m a 4 and I really rate Zara kids sandals.

Thanks @pepperaunt I'm a 6 due to wide feet & I think most kids sections only go up to a 5. Also adult Zara shoes are a bit narrow for me so don't think I'd have any luck there 😞 but useful for others to know
