Ghost dresses - what's the fit like?

Do they run large, small or true to size? I'm a small 8. What size would be best on me? An XS or S? For reference I'm an XS in Hayley Menzies, a 0 in Ba&sh and an 8 in Olive Rubin. Not sure if that helps at all.

Also how do Ghost dresses fit? The fabric looks very unforgiving and I feel like it might show every lump and bump. Is shapewear required?

I have a couple in a size small. I’m around a 10. Mine are the pattered crepe type and no lumps or bumps. I’d say you are more an extra small.

I only have the ones they did in collaboration with M and S but have an 8 in a couple of tea dresses and they fit well. Not sure if the main range would be similar. The dresses are in viscose.

I love ghost dresses but do find they run small. Im a 12 but with ample boobage so needed a large then had it nipped it around the waist.

The bias cut silk dresses will of course show every lump and bump but 1) you sound very slim and 2) shape wear. They come up about true to size but obviously very fitted

They run small especially round the bust.

I'm an 8-10 and wear XS in Ghost but I do have small boobs and a small waist. As a small 8 I would say XS for you definitely.

I find them to be on the big side, both in width and length. I have to have an XS taken in but I like the style so don’t mind. I’m generally the smallest size in any shop that doesn’t cater mainly for teenagers. I would think XS is the size you need and it may be too big as for me.

I don’t find the fabric particularly unforgiving. Crepe viscose is ok (it has been thinner of late). Bias cut satin is always difficult (which I wore for my wedding without shape wear but that was pre children…)
