Hair dye for going lighter with greying hair help please!

I use the light brown dye below, with the result in the photo. Thinking of trying the dark blonde shade attached. I have brown hair and about 50% grey at the roots. My colour is aging for me now. What will happen with the dark blonde shade? Will it do nothing coz it's too light or change my hair a funny colour???????

I don’t know what the ingredients in the box dye are, but you generally can’t go lighter without bleach can you? If I was going lighter I’d go to a salon.
