I take HTR. I use Nivea Q10 Post 60+. By lunchtime, I’m like a husk!

Any recommendations?

A moisture must spray might help .

Also are you drinking enough?

Profilio treatment is great for hydration longer term - injectable !

Have you tried a serum under your moisturiser? Also intensive mask 2 X per week, and try facial oil. I use the garner hemp oil, sometimes I put moisturiser over when it's sunk in. Also I use a tinted moisturiser, then foundation over that just where I need it, as foundation can be drying (and definitely no face powder.)

Try to drink 2-3l daily of water as well as teas / coffees.

Take a post menopause supplement.

To cleanse, try a cream cleanser such as Simple Purifying Cleansing Lotion & then use Clinique Clarifying Lotion no2 as a toner.. it's like a gentle exfoliant & gets rid of dry skin flakes..

Use a serum under your daily skin creams.
I find Clinique Smart Repair wrinkle correcting serum is amazing.. very concentrated and contains hyaluronic acid (hydrating) as well as retinoids. But there's cheaper alternatives with those ingredients.

At night apply the serum then a night cream and eye cream suitable for your age.
But during the day I tend to use Boots no7 protect & perfect spf 50 facial sun lotion over the serum - as you need good spf with retinoids and that lotion is nice & moisturising. The combination of serum & lotion also doesn't pill when you apply make up like such as primer / foundation.
If it's still not moisturising enough you could apply a little basic day cream before the spf lotion as well.

Medik8 for everything… costs though so top up with the ordinary too

Oil cleansing has made a huge difference to me. I use either Superfacialist or Simple.

I buy Eucerin anti redness moisturiser. I tried LRP and Cerave but I find the Eucerin one doesn't irritate and keeps my face properly moisturised all day, whereas others seem to dry out too quickly. The only problem is that it doesn't protect from UV

Cleethorpes · 12/02/2023 19:10

I was put onto Cerave by my dermatologist. I've found it fab.

I like Aldi rose oil.

Have bought a serum today and will use am/pm with my usual day/night moisturiser. I’ve also stopped taking a fairly new medication which causes excessive thirst. I’d rather have “the problem” than the raging dehydration.

So many recommendations. Thanks all. I’ll just use my Aveeno Cream over the serum as it really plumps the skin up and is so soothing for me.

I’ve just started using a facial exerciser thing so am wondering if that’s doing me goo (or not)!
