I think the M&S one looks the nicest though it is quite hard to tell from the ebay pics - is double breasted good on you, as I think on most women it can add a couple of inches?

This is nice but bit over budget and not sure of availability but Hobbs coats do come up on ebay

MrsBadger · 07/02/2008 20:07

double breasted doable - my chest can take the extra inches to balance my arse

In that case do think the M&S one looks most flattering of the three, like the open neck.

MrsBadger · 07/02/2008 21:47

ah, will order it and see (ftree delivery hurrah hurrah)

Did you know that if you take a bag of old clothes to Oxfam, as long as one item is from M&S they will give you a £5 M&S voucher to spend?
Have been traipsing to my local Oxfam the past few days post wardrobe clear out!

Hope the coat looks good once it arrives, Per Una often have good brown coats....

MrsBadger · 07/02/2008 21:54

ooh, cool. I always go to Cancer Research as it's closer...

dh is being scathing re tartan [sigh]

OP posts:
Pannacotta · 07/02/2008 21:58

Its not really very tartan though is it, more large check?
WHy not order a few from M&S then see which looks nicer on? Am sure they must have others, they usually have loads like the one you linked to...

Pannacotta · 07/02/2008 22:01

Didnt you like the Hoobs one btw, is very chic have tried it in RL and it looks great on.

Pannacotta · 07/02/2008 22:06

Am off to bed!!!

Ooh - nice. YOu never quite know with Bicester Village, do you. I was going to suggest looking at the Ghost online sale - scroll down to the bottom and they've got some there.

Pannacotta · 19/02/2008 16:01

Thats funny MrsB that very same coat was linked to on another winter coat thread I was ona while back, I had forgotten about it or I would have given you the thread link.
V smart/chic.

MrsBadger · 19/02/2008 16:04

I saw that thread too and remembered it the minute I saw the shop sign - had originally earmarked Hobbs / LK Bennett / Monsoon for coat perusal today - all were rubbish and CT came to the rescue.
