Can anyone recommend me a new foundation

I've been using Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Flawless Foundation 3 Neutral, and it's run out today, I've never really liked the finish, it seems to highlight my pores. I've just seen a photo of myself from lunch and I look bl**dy terrible - my eyes look very wrinkly/tired and my skin puffy. Can someone suggest a good foundation for someone who will be 50 this year or a company that makes good balaclavas?

Estee lauder double wear is gorgeous and has also won loads of awards. Love love love it

I have also just discovered Ill makiage. Its only online and I was very nervous about buying without trying but its gorgeous! I bought the powder too and a lipstick and it's all just fabulous!

My favourite foundation is Chanel Vitalumiere, I've tried others but always gravitate back to this one.

It really depends on what sort of finish you’re looking for and what your skin is like.
I used to love full coverage (bordering on cakey) but aging hasn’t been my friend and full coverage foundation just highlights my wrinkles and pores.

My favourite now is Sisley Phyto-Teint Ultra Eclat, it is beautiful, I don’t “feel” if on my skin, amazing staying power and really decent coverage.

Lily lolo.
I've tried others and go back to this..it's a mineral foundation. I've found its about the prep first. Moisturise, then a dust of fine finishing powder then the foundation. Do just enough.
I'm 52.

Interesting to see recommendations for Il Makiage- I've added it to my basket a few times but never gone through to order. What's the coverage like? I like Double Wear but finding it doesn't suit my skin as well now I'm getting older. Trying out the Estee Lauder Sheer one at the moment but its a bit too light.

Huge fan of Armani Luminous Silk - best foundation I've owned. I also like IT cosmetics for a more dewy day to day, it's really hydrating and looks flawless on.

I really like this but hate the smell 😭

I mix IT cosmetics Your skin but better CC cream with Maybelline illuminating primer and moisturiser as a light day time base. It's just the right amount of looking done for the daytime, I finish off with setting powder and bronzer.

What colour is your skin? Chanel is good but quite yellowy, I wear Christian Dior - excellent. It has the best pale shades - they’re pinky rather than yellow based.

I’m 52 btw.

@Cornelious2011 how do you find it (il makiage)? Is it dewy or dry? Builds up? Did you get a match from the first try?

I'm on Dior now, forever glow, the matte version, it is a nice colour match but a bit too dry for me

I like Chanel Ultra Le Teint, I feel it looks good on my just 52 year old skin.
I always get a sample to take home and try.

I like the L’Oréal true match tinted serum.

I think once you’re skin is ageing, full coverage isn’t the best way to go. I loved Estée Lauder double wear but I can tell it’s not as flattering on my older skin.

It takes some time to adjust to changing the routine of doing your face, but the face you have today isn’t the face you’ve had for the last 10/20 years of doing your make up.

if you want more coverage use concealers in small placements that need more, and a lighter formula foundation.
