I've recently gone back to tertiary study and I'm feeling a bit of a frump. Today I'm wearing a navy linen skirt with oversize buttoned pockets and a pin-stripe blouse.
I've been scoping out what the cool girls wear (by which I mean the slightly less frumpy women in their 40s) and the answer is black. Long black dresses. Chunky jewelry. Clumpy shoes. I'm going to try that.

I wear a black base layer then put something more colourful over - long cardi, blazer etc. or wear a colourful scarf.
I think a body skimming profile (meaning not oversized) is key unless you are very skinny. Good grooming too. Hate clumpy shoes, but then mine are a size 9!

I wear a lot of monochrome but not because I am cool but because I can get ready quickly. It helps be look professional and coordinated even though I am not! 😂😉

I thought most students lived in jeans/joggers and a hoody.
honestly just wear what you feel comfortable in and don’t change your style to fit in. Be yourself
