As the title says really. Looking for recommendations for good bb cream.

Wants: some coverage, high spf, not drying/good for dry mature skin

Hit me with your faves!

Note BB cream.

IT Cosmetics CC Cream SPF 50

Another vote for IT cosmetics. Nars is also ok, and Laura Mercier has an updated version out I think.

Just been looking at some videos for it cosmetics. It looks good although on the pricey side. Is it buildable coverage? I want something for light coverage normally but could double up if I was out for the evening for example to give a better coverage

I like the Garnier BB anti-age

Matchingcollarandcuffs · 01/02/2023 07:43

The IT cosmetics one is heavy, and shades are poor, I’ve had to get 2 Shades to mix together (Light and medium) as their Light/medium is way too pink.

It is v heavy too.

I have the Nars and it's ok, the Revolution pro cc cream is surprisingly lovely but comes out quite dark, finish is great and it's buildable though

If you only want light coverage you really need a CC not a BB. (Or a tinted moisturizer)
There's a mistaken view that BB= tinted moisturizer coverage. They're pretty much mid-full cover foundations, especially the really good Korean ones like Erborian (which would be my recommendation for a BB but not for "some coverage")
I'd only recommend a separate facial SPF though. Garnier is great.

I keep coming back to the Nars radiant tinted moisturiser. Very creamy texture. Shades are quite forgiving.

Imo the IT cosmetics one is not light though it can be sheered out with moisturiser. Limited shades too.

Agree with you. I just got the IT cc factor 50 cream and am disappointed in how very heavy it is. I can use it as a concealer but that's not what I wanted. And it's really expensive

IT Cosmetics is very full coverage and leaves my face shiny and in need of a later of powder to mattify.

I use Maybelline Dream Urban Cover SPF 50. It's supposed to be full coverage, but doesn't look too much on the skin. It's easier to apply that IT Cosmetics, less shiny, and has a full range of shades. Also it's cheap - £5.99 on ebay!!

I like the Erborian one I tried - seeing your q reminded that there was a blurb about their different offerings on Escentuals website last week - hopefully the link works:
