Help needed to find wedding dress accessories

I'm hoping you lot can help me. I'm getting married this spring - the wedding was supposed to happen last year but illness meant we had to postpone it.

I had a different outfit planned last year but the effects of my illness means I wanted to cover up my chest so have found this dress which I think looks ok:

www.coastfashion.com/capped-sleeve-lace-dress/ACC02604-2.html?color=123

It might be chilly in April so I'll need a jacket of some sort but I have no idea what would work with it. The wedding is in a register office so it doesn't need to be too formal. I think a contrasting colour might be nice.

I kind of fancied wearing cowboy boots with it but that might be a bit mad!

Any ideas?

Thank you. I think they might be a bit too formal maybe. I know I haven’t explained exactly what I want but the dress is quite relaxed so maybe a jacket that would be too?

Would this be a bit too informal?

Oh that's fab!!! Do it!

Wear the jacket and the cowboy boots. Be yourself. Sounds amazing 🤠😁

I like it but wonder if it will be a bit bland because the dress colour and jacket are so similar. Do you have a favourite colour? Have you considered a leather or jean jacket?

Pardon44 · 31/01/2023 16:32

I particularly like the red but they do have beige if you want to play it safe.

Banjaxx · 31/01/2023 19:19

@GettingMarriedAgain youve nailed it with both the dress and the jacket! Do it, you’ll look amazing

peachgreen · 31/01/2023 19:21

That jacket is absolutely incredible. Yes yes yes. Do it.

What about something quirky from irregular choice like these?

Aw, thank you everyone for your suggestions. I think I will order the jacket I linked above and see what it looks like.

I like those Revolve boots @Banjaxx - a bit pricier than I was thinking but they do look nice.

@Pardon44 I know what you mean about the jacket and dress being the same colour but if I was wearing a more formal wedding dress I'd probably have a jacket the same colour so I think it might be ok. I do like the idea of a contrasting colour but haven't found anything style wise that I think would go with the dress. I like pinks and blues. I like the jacket you linked to but it looks a bit baggy for me - I tend to look like a child dressing up in her mum's clothes if things aren't fitted a bit more!

@BernadetteRostankowskiWolowitz Those boots are definitely a statement. I'll have a look and see what else they have but I'd worry I might not be able to walk in them!

Irregular Choice shoes and boots are surprisingly easy to walk in!

I think that jacket is absolutely perfect for the kind of wedding you're aiming for, OP. You will look amazing. Please do share a photo!

@peachgreen I’ll add a photo of it looks ok! Thank you
