Skincare/pampering brands for 17 year olds

I want some cool Auntie points for a 17th birthday present and hope parents of older girls can help. My DD is only 12 & covets Florence by Mills and Starface but I assume these might be too young for a near adult? Niece has lovely skin anyway but would like to treat her to some (not too expensive products) that she will like, for body or face. I have asked her mum but she isn't sure re brands. I would also rather buy things that are cruelty free if I can help it. Can anyone suggest some brands to look at please?

Glossier do nice body products, the exfoliating bar is lovely and they do a shower gel that’s nice.
The milky jelly cleanser is gentle and the lip balms are nice and moisturisers are fragrance free.
Futuredew is always on my dsd bday and Xmas list so must be good

My DD16 likes The Ordinary

Glossier. My girls like the lip balms in a tube, they like the birthday cake one. And there’s a hand cream in a flat pink container that they like.

Thank you all, I don't feel confident with The Ordinary for someone else in case I get the wrong thing. I have seen Glossier mascara in their bathroom so will go with that I think

I got the milk jelly cleanser and the dew stuff in a bundle with a small reduction and then 10% off my first order so got both for £30.60, she is secretly my favourite non-birthed child in the whole world so hope she likes it.
