Ultra high waist trousers

Have you bought some trousers recently where you thought the waist was just ridiculously high? If so please tell me about them!

Or are you like me, tall and hourglass/ish, with a natural waist nearly as high as your bra strap? Please tell me about your best high waisted trousers!

I'd love to be able to wear outfits that demonstrate I do actually have a waist, but currently only my m&s running leggings actually come up high enough.

I have two pairs of Levi ribcage jeans and they almost skim my bra strap! Sezane is also good for high waisted trousers.

Zara Marine jeans come up quite high... not sure they will be long enough tho.
COS also do high waist and quite long trousers.
Might be worth trying ARKET too

Just today I wore some paperbag style trousers which have lurked in the back of my cupboard mostly unworn. Quite possibly they aren't the top of fashion now, but even I was shocked as I forgot just how high waisted they are. And I'm long bodied as well. They were from h&m, I just wore them without the belt and they are quite complimentary.

I have Levi Ribcage as well and these are much higher waisted.

Thanks for recommendations, I will give them all a look.

I looked up the Levi's, love the shape. But they say they have a 12 inch rise. I've just measured my best fitting jeans which are mom jeans from New look. they're 12 inches at the front and 17 inches at the back!!! So I suspect the Levi's wouldn't be high enough, unless the 12 inches refers to the front?

its possible I'm just a really weird shape!

Hi OP these if you’re wanting jeans: www.asos.com/stradivarius/stradivarius-super-high-waist-skinny-jean-in-dark-blue/prd/203830377?ctaRef=my+orders

I bought them to wear with a cropped top where I don’t want to flash any skin. They’re really high waisted and I’m pleased with them.

The rise refers to the front @BoredOfThisMansWorld

OP I have the same body shape as you (but I'm only 5'4) I love my Zara Marine jeans! I've got them in a few colours, but they are a wide leg cropped style which means on me they are great full length with flats.

I also have a few pairs of really high waist jeans from Stradavarius. They're very long so have to either hem them or wear chunky platform style shoes with them. The Flare Split Hem are very high waisted as well.

M&S magic skinny come up high on me and are my fave jeans
Next hypercurve were the best but they got rid of them

(I'm 5ft 10 also)

Oh and if you want gym leggings then peloton cadent leggings (buy in the sale!!) are so soft and ridiculously high. I can tuck them under my bra Grin

I got two pairs of these from Swedish Hasbeens recently - bargain in the sale and really good quality. You will need to measure yourself for the sizing! Really long in the leg too - I had to take several inches off them (am 5' 4")

I don't find Levi ribcage jeans very high, which is a shame as I thought they were the answer to my prayers when I first saw them, but they really don't work for me.

I know Cos are divisive, but as someone with a high waist I get on really well with their trousers. They seem to be cut for longer bodies, so you don't get the camel toe effect and they actually accentuate your waist. Some of the Zara wide leg trousers are also OK but they can be hit and miss.

Not tried them but Abercrombie do some ultra high waist jeans in various shapes.

Monki also do a pair called Rowe. Loose straight leg.

Can’t help with trousers, but I want them too!

Sorry, Weekday not Monki. Always get those two confused.

What is the sizing like in these? I normally wear a 12, but according to their sizing guide,I should order a 10. Not worn a 10 for a loooong time 😅

Thanks for so many suggestions.

I2 inch rise at front is minimum on me and about hits my belly button. I'm after higher.

I can't see any info on the Weekday Rowe sizing but they look nice.

I have to admit I never look in Cos because I assume it's for straight up and down people, but I'll check them out. Never looked at Sezane before either.

Hi @Mabelface Im a 10 and bought a 10 - sizing is spot on. I was glad to see traditional dress sizes and not waist/leg as I never get that right.

I don’t trust the size guides. For these I’d say go with your usual size.
