Having an AlumierHD peel later today. Anyone had one?

Hi,

So apparently this isn't like a medical grade peel, so I shouldn't actually peel, but it's still a chemical peel....so I'm still a bit confused as to what to expect 😅

I've just been promised gorgeous skin and given I'm a bit of a facial treatments virgin, I'm going in at entry level.

I've been recommended one every six weeks, but they're not cheap, so I'm not going to be doing that indefinitely!

Anyway, just wondered if anyone had had one.

Thank you 😊

I’ve had two of these before Christmas. First one was the glow peel which was very strong, stung like hell when on and face skin peeled off from a couple of days later for about a week. Was horrible peeling started at chin and worked its way up but skin was lovely and glowy and smooth afterwards. Had a radiant 30 I think the next time and hardly any dryness/peeling afterwards but didn’t feel the effects were as good. Only my thoughts - fairly normal combination skin with some ageing. Good luck! Would have a heavy duty mild moisturiser to use afterwards like LRP cicaplast but I’m sure your beauty therapist will give you lots of aftercare advice.

@cheesypeas123 I think I'm having the gentle one actually. I don't want it to be so mild that I don't actually notice 😬

I think gentle is the way to go - my face felt on fire with first one! I’m sure you’ll have good results and at least no downtime with a more gentle peel. Good luck!

Thank you! I'm hoping it's at least a step up from the at home peels, like the Ordinary, Peeling Solution, which I use and have good results with.

Isn't a bit late in the day to be asking about for input? Surely you researched it before signing up?

Anyway, hope it goes well!

ZingyCosmo · 24/01/2023 14:12

@007DoubleOSeven well yes, I did, but thought I'd try here too 🤷‍♀️

In case anyone's interested 😂 I had it and I'm very happy with the results! Glowy and smooth. Slightly softened my forehead lines, but wasn't massively bothered about those anyway.

No make up today (as recommended) but honestly, I don't feel I need it. First time in about 15 years I've been confident without foundation!
