I have not been out into the world for months I have been wearing loungewear

I have no clothes

I have a nice black coat and some black knee high wedge heeled boots THAT IS IT

I am 5'3" size 12 no norks but wide shoulders/ hips so hourglass

I want to look elegant and showstopping but am on budget

I do not wear jeans usually

red suits me

ready? GO!

Bumping this for you - I'm OK on finding specific items, but others (MrsBadger, anniemac et al) are much better at general shapes/capsule wardrobes than me.

Tutter · 05/02/2008 19:25

is it mostly daywear you're after?

what sort of look do you hanker after?

Cappuccino · 06/02/2008 14:03

yes Tutter daywear

I hanker after sexy grown up look

not funky it is too late for that and also I need to keep things for longer than it entails

so classic kind of work/ reading papers in cafe/ elegant but not elderly, iyswim

anniemac

spookily, i was about to say the same thing

trousers could be unflattering on the more petite laydee

dress plus boots - do you like the idea capp?

Cappuccino · 07/02/2008 13:55

yes YES YES YES I DO like dresses and boots look

boots kind of better because I have lower legs kind of like upturned milk bottles with big calves and skinny ankles

also dh would think he had died and gone to heaven if I started appearing in a dress each day

I need to be warm tho am a chilly soul

Hi Cap, check out Betty Jacksons Black range in Debenhams. Sexy but not flashy, quite classic stuff often with a twist I love the stuff!! The website does not do justice, best to go for a try on. x

Why no visiting shop? Have you been barred?

Cappuccino · 07/02/2008 14:14

my style

hmm

I have owned many pairs of black trousers

today I am wearing A line black skirt with kind of petrol green t-shirt and long fine wool cardigan with slight trim with tie fastens under norks

and boots

I have a Favourite grey wool dress

I like things to be nice and strokeable and soft

trebuchet no shops cos am recovering from ME, am just thinking may use all of tiny amounts of energy to go back to work for two monrings a week

going shopping would take all energy so is no go - I can't stand up for more than 10 minutes without going all of a dither

OP posts:
Cappuccino · 07/02/2008 14:14

things end best just under knee

have flirted with long skirts but just look odd am too short

knees okay
