Plus size evening gown to get married in?

Another poster recently got some great advice on wedding dresses so wonder if the Mumsnet hive mind could help me!

I am eloping in May and need an amazing long dress that is not white, size 20-22, covers tops of arms and fat stomach. I am dark autumn colouring so suit greens/bronze etc and I think I can get away with orange and hot pink. I think an evening dress (or jumpsuit) would fit the bill better than an actual dress.

I have been thinking about going to a wedding dress designer that does evening dresses but not sure if they'd laugh me out the shop.

Any recommendations for shops or website I could look at would be appreciated.

Budget is ideally £500 but for something amazing I would go to £2k (as we are saving so much by eloping).

Have you ever heard of the Australian designer Camilla? Her silk dresses are just stunning. She does a t-shaped kaftan dress which is the most flattering thing I’ve ever worn (similar size to you op). There is a green based one on sale currently (if any left) and new colours and styles come in every Tuesday. There was an amazing orange one (dragon mother) but think it’s sold out. She does a waisted long dress in a size up to 3-4xl which is a 22. Her stuff is long so need to be tallish (I’m 5’8’’).
The prices are expensive but include customs and shipping. I normally receive items within a week via DHL. The quality is beautiful and delivery reliable.

Admittedly have never bought anything but Adrianna Pappel (spelling??) has some beautiful dresses. Think John Lewis sell some of her dresses but worth a google.

It might not be special enough but I really like this Wolf and Badger dress and would accessorise it out the wazoo.

Eloping sounds glorious!

It's a bit outside your budget (dresses start at around £1k) but I would definitely look at Lucy Can't Dance: lucycantdance.com/collections/meet-the-dresses.

Absolutely beautiful dresses and separates in gorgeous colour options.
