Can you help me find this bag? (Guilty backstory!)

Hi,

My husband bought me a blue suede Radley handbag around 12 years ago with his first proper paycheck after we left university. Around 4 years ago it went missing, around the time that I had a huge sort out and sent lots of bags of clothes etc to charity. We have moved since and it hasn't reappeared so I've had to accept that I have most probably donated it by accident 😭

I've been searching on Ebay and Vimted for years to try and find another one and had no luck. It was the style and colour of the pictures I've attached, but the one shown has hand straps and this was a smaller, more compact one with a shoulder strap.

Please, can anyone help? It has such sentimental value and I feel so bad for not taking better care of it. He's a lovely, lovely man and would completely understand, but I haven't been able to bring myself to tell him in the hope that I might find a replacement and be able to treasure that instead. All recommendations/ suggestions appreciated x

I lost diamond earrings replaced them with cubic zirconia and my husband is non the wiser, I think get a similar bag and you will learn to love it and he will not even notice.

That bag is partly why I've posted- each time I see it my heart soars briefly, then I realise it's still the same bag 😂 I have been wondering about the above approach @Letsrunabath . I just thought it was worth asking for as much help as possible just in case anyone had one lurking they were wondering about selling!

No advice but I love how you describe your OH and are on a mission to find the bag. Have you tried international eBay sites? Have you contacted the bag company?

Thank you. I haven't contacted them due to the age of the bag, but anything is worth a go at this point!

At least if Radley were able to tell you the name of the bag it might help you narrow down the search?.

I did an image search but couldn't find the one you want I may have got drawn into the Radley website and almost bought myself a bag I didn't know I needed

Was it an across the body type bag, with long thin straps?

Things like this really bug me and I will end up searching for this bag for days 😂🤦🏻‍♀️

May be a silly question but,would your husband actually notice the straps are different?

Another thought (this bag is on my mind!), I know you describe it as blue but I’ve a similar bag that I’d call grey. Might be worth searching/having alerts for grey bags too? 🤞

I had a watch I loved that was no longer produced. It took me ages to find one on eBay, but I did eventually so don’t give up.

Alternatively could you buy 2 of the available bags and get someone to convert 4 short straps into 2 long ones?
