Don’t buy shoulder bags for lugging laptops / marking / planning folders in. You’ll bugger up your back and shoulder!

I've had two leather ones from Paul costello. My rule for a work bags is that it can't fit in I'm not taking it home! So I look for I that I can fit a set of books in. Although I rarely bring books home to mark.

Etichetta day and filton. The leather is much better as they last years- previous synthetic one always go at the handles.

The reason why is I hate the scruffy look of a handbag/lunch bag and a Tesco Carrier bag!

I have a (fake version of) THE TOTE BAG by Marc Jacobs. It holds plenty, although I tend not to take piles of books home. If I know that I will HAVE to take marking home, I have the children work on paper (with handwriting lines so they are also practising an extra skill) which can then be stuck into books.

This one is a bargain. And massive.

Teacher here - I use an Anya Hindmarch Universal bag. She did them for Selfridges, Waitrose and Sainsbury’s. Usually available for about £40-50 on Vinted and eBay

How about www.notabag.com/ for best of both worlds. Agree with comment above about knackering your back - I carry lots of paperwork but use a Kanken laptop backpack. You can carry as a tote in the building but lug as a backpack for any length of walk.

I'm a fan of the Vendula bags. They are v detailed in design so not for everybody's tastes, but they get lots of compliments and the tote/shopper size is great as a work bag for me.

Get a trolly work bag. Far more sensible.

What trolley bags are you all talking about? I'd love one that is not like a shopping cart, something like a pilot's bag, square and squat, or a neat backpack on wheels.
Not having much success finding anything online, there are some but just not what I see in my mind!
