Stylish plain black rucksack for overnights away

I have a lot of work trips coming up & need a lovely, plain, un-logoed rucksack for airtravel. I don't want a mountain tracking style I won't be hanging water bottles off it etc.
Imagine a stylish architect was carrying a rucksack- what would that look like?
It needs to be able to take a spare set oh clothes so not tiny but not huge.

I have got the Fin waxed cotton in black and it’s so versatile (and I think stylish too).

CabinMax perhaps. Well made, fit airline dimensions, practical for day work or overnights away.

(My architect friend is never without their bright orange “just off to scale Everest” rucksack, so I do not know if I get to deem what’s stylish 😂)

These Fairfax & Favor backpacks are quite nice.

I have a couple from Fossil. The Parker convertible Backpack can be worn as a backpack or handbag and fits a small laptop. I have the brown leather one, it's absolutely gorgeous. The have a pretty good selection of smart backpacks. The Buckner is also excellent.

Ooh inspired suggestion & I don't know why I didn't think of Ally Capellino as I have one of her leather totes which I use every single day for work. Mine's a pale denim blue leather.
I love some of those backpacks & of course have fallen for the most expensive leather one!! But don't think I want to spend that much.

Does it need to be a work bag as well (ie laptop etc)?

Have a look at the John Lewis Kin range, or Knomo - some of those might fit the bill. There are also some leather ones which are lovely, but fairly heavy when empty.

I've got the Knomo black one with the shiny gold zips. Looks really smart.

I wanted a knomo one but they were sold out in the size I needed so compromised with this which was significantly cheaper. I absolutely love it - smart, comfy and has all the pockets/compartments etc I need. Samsonite has loads of options.

Bellroy are good

Eastpak luggage travel pack. Can carry like a back pack but opens out flat like a travel bag. We now have two in our family . They have black or also had a sort of shiny black that is nice. V strong.
