Sun cream and body lotion

Going on holiday soon. Got a new scented body lotion for Xmas which I want to use when on holiday. But what do I put on first - suncream or the body lotion?!

If you put sunscreen on first, when you put your body lotion on, it risks rubbing off the sunscreen.

Body lotion unless it has mineral oil in it or it’ll have a hard time forming a bond with the skin which it needs to work.

Put the sunscreen on without the body lotion during the day, and put the body lotion on in the evening

Agree with @DuchessOfSausage. I never use body lotion during the day on holiday. Just lots of sun cream. And then body lotion or oil after my shower in the evening.

Thanks all! I love the smell of the body lotion. It puts me in such a good mood for the day! I don't want to risk damaging my skin though by not using the sun cream right

It's likely to either sweat off or, if you are sunbathing, be masked by that funny "burnt biscuit " smell I've noticed you have after a day in the sun - or is that just me?! -

Save it so you smell gorgeous and have lovely hydrated skin for the evening.

Also you could find its fragrance irritates your skin once in the sun
