I've bought a knitted dress from Ebay which I love but is unfortunately too short. Would it be possible to add some fabric to the bottom to make it longer?pics attached to show the fabric. Any suggestions or advice greatly appreciated 🙂

It needs to be able to stretch so you can get it on which makes it tricky to add fabric. What about a longer shift in a chiffony material to go underneath?

I used to own a fab knitted dress quite like this, which came with a gauze/ mesh/ lace ruffle at the bottom in the same colour. The knitted section was somewhere between straight and bodycon, the ruffle added a few inches to the bottom and stuck out slightly. Whole thing slightly gothic... and now I'm wondering where on earth it has got to as I'd quite like to wear it again!

That sounds absolutely gorgeous. Just need to find some fabric now 😩

Wear it over leggings, or attach a ruffle to the hem, or wear it over a slip-style skirt or dress. You could attach the ruffle with elasticated thread.
