I know these trousers are a fave on here, bought some and they're great but I'm not a fan of trainers in winter, what do you wear with them?

Happy to buy new footwear, want to buy more of the pants.

I wear mine with chunky black leather boots.

IveForgottenAgainFFS · 12/01/2023 23:48

@covetingthepreciousthings biker boot type or more chunky sole?

Boots are what I was hoping to hear 💥

I've just bought some similar from Lululemon and was wondering the same. They fit really nice, but want to elevate them from being too casual.

I'm wondering whether a smooth leather boot with a good chunky soul and maybe stitching might work. Will be fairly trainer-like in style but less casual.

*sole

Now that looks wrong too. It's late!

I would go for a slim ankle boot - a pointed toe is more elegant and balances out the wide leg.

I wear mine slightly cropped with chunky soled Chelsea boots. Mine are from office and super comfortable.

Slim ankle boot here too. The lace up "granny boot" style. I feel quite formal like that and wear them for work.
I do have more chunky ankle boots but they emphasize the wideness of everything (trouser AND me!)
In summer I wear them with leather sneakers rather than chunky trainers for the same reason (fitflop rally usually)

I do like those office boots, would gp with a lot of styles. Shopping today so I'll see what they have.

I'd like to hear more about slim boots, can anyone give me a picture? In my head they're mom boots or those very thin pointy things I wore in 2000.

Nearly everything I own these days is chunky, would be good to have something different. I am not averse to buying more boots!

Pointy boots and shoes are back in. I wear my wide leg trousers or flare trousers with pointy boots, either high ones or the low boots. Socks boots also work

sock boots
flat boots

IveForgottenAgainFFS · 13/01/2023 11:31

@aluvss thanks for that, I've nothing along those lines, will start shopping
