If you need to buy a dress for a dressy do, where would you go/look?

I’ve recommended to people on here to have a look at the Anthrapologie sale section. They have a tulle dress that to me is just lovely and at such a good price imo

Chi Chi is always a good affordable option. Or try looking at Adrianna Pappell….can usually get some cracking bargains on them in John Lewis at this time of year.

Thanks Bunce and WeeM I am heading to John Lewis this weekend and you have put some on my radar I hadn't heard of.
Style? Post COVID/menopausal weight gain something that has magic in it to flatter. A v-neckline, otherwise my boobs look even bigger. It is so long since I have worn anything other than "jeans and a nice top" I haven't got a clue where to start.
