Hi.. just that really. I'm interested in having a boob job and Turkey is cheaper.

Anyone have any stories?

Sorry Justfrustrated... that was for you. I'm not very good at quoting!

There's a big Facebook group, run by past and present patients, and they're really active as a company on Instagram.

@Lolacat1234 - Thank you for explaining about the 10yr thing.

Not necessarily that they need to be done every 10 years, but most implants come with a 10 year guarantee which is where I think it gets confused. All that means is that if the implants were to fail within 10 years, the manufacturer would supply a new set as a replacement. However the bulk of the cost with implant surgery is the surgery itself so a pair of free £400 implants would be all you would get is they were to fail. So implants can last a lifetime, but most only have a 10 year guarantee. I think when I was researching my surgery there was one brand of implants that had a lifetime guarantee but what I'm trying to say is it's not worth much as you will still need to cover the extra £4k for the surgery lol. Mine are going strong over 10 years later and no plans to get them redone any time soon. With age and wisdom now I sometimes ponder what they will look like when im 60 (im thinking snooker balls in long socks lol) or what will happen when I have to have a mammogram when the time comes, will they get damaged etc, but at the moment it's 13 years later and they still look and feel the same.

I'm nearly 59, my implants are about 10 years old, and I've had several mammograms with no problems. My boobs are still where they should be, too 😂 no sagging and I don't need to wear a bra.

I would do some very careful research.

I know someone currently in Poland for a nose operation - she feels it’s needed aesthetically and for her breathing but the NHS disagree. She is having the surgery done by a surgeon who trained and worked in the NHS for many years and feels confident in her decision.

Not every surgeon and every clinic will be of the same standard. Going for the cheapest could be a big mistake.

Yes, me and a friend of mine too. If you do your research properly then it's fine. I had mine in a private wing of a huge hospital which has an A&E and they perform all kinds of surgeries including heart surgeries. I checked my surgeon was properly registered. The entire time I spent in Turkey was in the hospital - no discharge to a ' villa' or hotel for recovery.
Constant monitoring and checks over your stay. I've had private surgery in the uk and the surgery in Turkey completely trumped this
