Longline jumper or sweatshirt recommendations? Long but not massively oversized.
You would think this would be easy enough but I can't find anything that isn't cheap or thin or so wide it makes me look huge. Everything currently seems to have massive puffy sleeves.
I just want something flattering that's long enough to at least mostly cover my bum in leggings. Busty size 16. 5'6. Why is it such a tough find?

I used to live in this look, found fat face and white stuff 'tunics' fit the bill. Got a few finer knit ones which fit well and lasted ages.

For a, proper knitted jumper type you might need to check the shops aimed at the slightly older lady. Landsend and woolovers tend to be a good length.

I have this, it covers my bum and is insanely comfortable.

What sort of neck do you want?

I buy lots of these style jumpers, loose through the body with tight ribbed sleeves, I find if the sleeves are tight it gives a better overall silhouette. They also look better under gilets and feel better under coats!

I bought a black sweatshirt mini dress from Reebok to wear as a top over leggings

Forgot about sweat dresses, I've had a few from H & M which are great.

@Rina66 thanks for those. They are close but I think they are just too long!? i'm also looking for something that will actually be warm (and my other H&M cheapies aren't warm enough!)

@LordEmsworth i like Sweaty Betty but i'm not keen on hoods or on the side splits. the shape looks good besides that

Have you thought about wearing longline vest tops under the jumpers and dresses? I do this for warmth and to just give slightly shorter jumpers a bit of length, it also smooths everything out too, so nothing clings.

A few years ago I discovered Matalan long line vest tops. I know this is a vest rather than a jumper but it was a relief to find them, because I don't like the assumption made by many clothing manufacturers that I'll want to show my midriff or bum. Nice and long and can even be pulled down to the top of my thighs. Plus they're really cheap. If I need sleeves I layer something else on top.

I’m same size, height as you and have a couple of roll neck jumpers from h&m (warm and not too long but cover what they need to, flattering) that I pretty much live in with leggings atm.
Also Matalan do longer length hoodies (again not too long but cover bum etc) and I have a couple of those.
I get what you mean though, surprisingly hard to find a good length jumper!

I have a lovely cosy hoodie dress from Aesthetic Laundry which is nice and long but not puffy

I saw a nice length sweatshirt dress in Sainsbury's for £16, comes in pink, green or black...

I have the H&M one in black. It looks good over leather look leggings. I tried the Mint velvet zip one but didn’t feel it was nicer enough than the H&M one to justify how much more it cost.

Ok so i cracked and after trying lots on I bought the ridiculously overpriced Mint Velvet one w Zip. Decided I'd rather buy one that was right than 3 cheaper ones that weren't. Trying not to feel guilty about it!
