How can I cover dark spots on my face?

I’ve got a few sunspots which I hate. I’ve tried various concealers but none covers them completely and instead they make them look sort of grey - very attractive! Help!

How dark is the pigmentation?

I had a few dark spots, most noticeably a triangular spot on my cheek, and after a year of spf50 and cut c serum it has faded almost completely

Mine was caused by hormones (peri) and too much Sun in my life (lived in tropical countries for 10 yrs)

They feel very noticeable to me as I'm quite pale. I dont understand why concealer doesnt cover them though.

You could maybe look into using direct acids from The Ordinary to reduce and fade dark spots. Alpha Arbutin 2% + HA would be ideal for you. You've just got to remember and use sunscreen everyday too.

I would go to a make up counter where they can match you to the right shade to hide it, or a colour corrector. I use Benefit erase paste (discontinued) on my dark spots, it's a pinky peach and tends to neutralise it well.

Speak with a clinic that does IPL treatments for pigmentation. I did a course of 6 treatments and it faded my pigmentation really well.

Try Dermacol full coverage foundation. It was a Youtube sensation a few years ago. It's really cheap about £11. It covers tattoos. You can use it as a concealer (that's what I do) and put your normal foundation over it. Estee Lauder Maximum Coverage foundation is also wonderful and will not budge (tested this in the jungle and a very sweaty nightclub)
